A Round Up Of Our Past Intimate Weddings

If you haven’t noticed, we love intimate weddings. It’s so charming and cosy getting to pick your dearest and closest and have them at an intimate celebration.

Whether that’s 10 people, 50 people, or just your parents; intimate weddings are some of our all-time favourites. We’ve done a fair few over the years and they’re always such beautiful memorable celebrations.

Here is a round up of some of our past intimate weddings.

Kristin & Michael’s 70 Person Warehouse Wedding

Warehouses are some of our favourite wedding locations. We love getting to work with such a blank slate and really creating a whole venue.

White walls, open rafters, the rest you’re building yourself, which leaves so many opportunities to personalize the space.

We love what Kristin and Michael wanted to do with the space; make it warm and welcoming for their guests through beautiful greenery touches (thank you Stone House Creative), warm lighting, and of course candles and lots of wonderful food (Chew nailed the meal!) paired with just the right wines for each course.

Dez & Eric’s Intimate Wedding at Qualico Centre

We planned with Dez and Eric long distance for their post-wedding celebration. They had been married a year prior and decided to have a celebration back home here in Manitoba. We help them bring together a small cocktail-style reception to celebrate the nuptials. It was BoHo inspired and a really fun evening of dancing and laughter.

Celia & Cam’s 30 Person Kitchen Sync Wedding

Celia & Cam live in Australia. But Celia’s family is here from Manitoba. They wanted to have a personal intimate wedding with some family flying in from Australia and the closest family here in Canada.

We worked with them long-distance on their celebration, them having to trust us the whole way as we did site visits and plans with vendors as their proxy. Bringing quotes and details back to them via video meetings and lots of emails back-and-forth. They had a beautiful rich fall vineyard vibed wedding at Kitchen Sync.

Sarah & Stephen’s 60ish Person Mansion Wedding

Sarah and Stephen want to get married at Moss House. It’s a beautiful mansion privately owned here in Manitoba.

In case you’re wondering because I know some of you will ask, it’s a space that is only offered to family and friends of the beautiful private mansion.

They wanted to bring together an intimate wedding that was all fun-based. With beautiful minimalist decor and design, the night was focused around craft drinks, delicious food offerings, and lots of dancing.

If you weren’t convinced already intimate weddings can sure be magical. Don’t get us wrong large weddings are wonderful as well, but intimate weddings sure hold a soft spot in our hearts.

Tedi & Evan - Backyard wedding - Amanda Douglas Events

Tedi & Evan’s 30 Person Backyard Wedding

Tedi and Evan had a beautiful, unique, 30 person backyard wedding on family property about an hour and a half north of Winnipeg.

They had a beautiful design set in a U-shaped so that everyone could really engage and be cosy together.

It was the warmest and most enchanting summer day; utterly perfect for an outside wedding.

The ceremony and reception sites were steps away from each other and right by the horse pasture, so every once in a while we had a few extra guests join us.

There’s just something so special about picking 30 of your closest family and friends and celebrating together.
