Brianna & Lorenzo’s Spring Starlit Point Wedding

These two. They were always on (video long distance from CA) meetings together, always working together, and had that little bit of side-eye-silliness in the planning. It was so fun bringing together their spring Starlit Point wedding.

The day started with hiding from each other. One getting ready in the house and the other in the sunroom relaxing and hanging out (those that wear suits and have short hair, you all have it so easy!!).

It was the loveliest spring day and it was just the perfect setting for their wedding. So many friends and family flew in to be there with them and it was just in the air – all the love and excitement for these two.

This is a flowering plum tree and the blooms last 3-6 days. They got it in all it’s glory and it was utterly stunning! And it smelled amazing.

The selfies and couple’s photos that were taken here; it happened all day and all night long.

Starlit Point weddings are lovely but spring Starlight Point weddings are our favourite for this reason.

If you didn’t know it (aka hadn’t been to Starlit Point before) this is actually a very very flooded river. We had some concerns for a little while there that the wedding might not happen here. We started talking about backup locations and kept an eye on the weather and floodway openings and all those things.

Thankfully things started to move along, the water went down, things dried up for the venue to get fully set up and truthfully, I think this “lake” is a charming change to the usual smaller river much further below.

We’re all about reusing ceremony florals and decor. These two pieces were from the front of the aisle and were moved over as soon as family photos were over.

And these two ground pieces were from the back of the ceremony (at the end of the aisle) and were moved as well. I mean, cake surrounded by flowers? It’s pretty magical.

Mob-style grand entrances. They’re a thing and they’re a lot of fun. And your wedding party will thank you for not being so on show (like they can be with coming in one by one or even as couples).

Dress change and big bow for the win! Girl, this bow – it’s my favourite part of your fashion choices for the day!

A big thanks to all the friends, family and vendors that helped bring together Brianna & Lorenzo’s spring wedding:
