Sara & Brent’s St Norbert Art Centre Wedding

“You had me at St Norbert Art Centre Wedding” – was my first thought. When I met Sara & Brent I knew I was going to love working with them. Their spirit for travel, adventure, and their roots in Winnipeg connected closely with their friends and family – my kinda people.

We got started with the wedding design and quickly got at all the planning. They knew from the beginning they wanted something personal but minimal, with natural elements, all while still being welcoming. We couldn’t be happier for them with how it all came together. Through the hand-selected vendors, personal touches, custom details, combined with the sunshine; they couldn’t have had a more lovely day for their St Norbert Art Centre Wedding.

Pro Tip: If time allows we always encourage you to take the morning to linger, have breakfast, a few mimosae, then start getting ready. There’s nothing better than taking your time and enjoying your closest friends on this special day.

First looks are our favs. It doesn’t matter that you’re going to spend the rest of the day doing photos together; the first time you see each other should be special! There are so many things that are being left out of weddings but this is one – we think – you should always leave in.

Sara wanted something simple but wild for her bouquet and really let Lauren of Stone House Creative run with it. We’re so happy she did – the bouquet couldn’t have been more fitting for their wedding and her style.

If you want a time to just chill in between photos at a pub we’re all for it and we’ll work the schedule to make it happen. The wedding day doesn’t have to be hair, makeup, photos, busy, busy. You can plan in some chill time and we always love it when our couples do.

The use of simple white and green kept the room classy but minimalistic which was the perfect balance for Sara & Brent.

This might be my favourite signature drink board to date. We’re total suckers for good signage and Sara & Brent knew how to do it well (doing most of the invite and signage design work themselves).

A small ceremony earlier in the day with close friends and family meant we had the pick of locations all around the ruins and Art Centre. This cosy little cove was the ideal setting.

Because I mean, we had to! After working with a couple so long I miss them and I knew I was going to miss Sara and Brent (time to get this photo printed for the corkboard in the office).

Open bar, food stations, signature drinks, some memorable speeches, and lots of dancing filled the rest of the night.

When you have a fire pit like the St Norbert Art Centre it only makes sense you roast something.
