Krystyl & Keith’s Lakeside Wedding

Krystyl and Keith had a beautiful lakeside wedding. They picked Kamp Variety at Lake Brereton for their wedding location.

Being lake people it was the perfect setting for their wedding. They brought together their favourite people and had a beautiful lakeside wedding.

First look with dad. Tears. Of course.

Getting to do your first look out on the lake is an utter perfect (and super personal for these two). It sure makes for the dreamiest of settings too.

Krystyl’s bouquet was the perfect balance of wild and form with really distinct colours and not too big for this intimate wedding.

The reception was held inside the lodge of Camp Variety. With long family-style tables and garlands mixed in with candles and clusters of bud vases the setting made for a beautiful intimate reception.

I myself couldn’t be there (having previous their booking with us committed to another wedding) so one of our teams of Day of Coordinators took care of Krystyl and Keith on their day.

It was really lovely getting to work with them leading up to their wedding but it’s always a little bittersweet getting to do all the prep with clients and yet not getting to be there on the day.

I knew they were in great hands however, and was so pleased to see how it all came together for them.

The ceremony was held on the rocks right by the lake’s edge. They had chairs (covered in sheep skins) and rows gathered around them with all of their family and love ones.

A quote from Lauren of Stone House Creative:

“They always hoped that they’d be able to have the ceremony outdoors, and I’m so glad that they were able to in the end. This is about as “beachy” as you get in the Whiteshell, and instead of sand, you get stone 🙂 They built this gorgeous wood arbor for their ceremony and I loved Krystyl’s idea of hanging a macrame wall hanging on it. We added an asymmetrical garland, along with some loose blooms in the burgundy, blush, and white palette. I have to thank my sister, Carmen (who is one of Krystyl’s good friends) who set this all up for us! While working on it, she texted me: “you have the worst job.” ha!” (Lauren was also at another wedding so had her sister run set up for her day of)

I think one of the best parts about having a lake wedding is getting to have your dog with you, running around enjoying the day just as much as you are. And clearly this dog knows how to have a good time getting loves and cuddles from anybody that wants to give it.

After the ceremony the wedding party went off for some photos around the forest.

Family and friends made toasts and speeches. The sun started to set and the rest of the evening was spend dancing and enjoying the summer air.

It’s your cake, do what you want right? Yes, Krystyl, yes!

A big thanks to all the vendors, family, and friends that helped bring together Krystyl & Keith’s lakeside wedding:
