Hassan & Zainab’s Summer Country Wedding

Zainab contacted us a few months before their wedding needing some help. Most of her family – including Hassan – do not live here. She needed help bringing it all together. The decor, the timeline, how she was going to get her family organized. Culturally a schedule or timeline was never something guests would be concerned about or follow but she wanted things to go to plan with a level of flexibility.

That was no problem on our end. We love summer country weddings and keeping things going, troubleshoot and, going with the flow is our speciality.

Below are some of our favourite moments from Hassan & Zainab wedding.

Courting long distance can be hard and can make the wedding day that much more nerve-racking. Hassan & Zainab first look was the cutest and to see the blushes and cute little smiles – so charming and sweet.

We had a bit of difficulty with securing a florist. After finding out not much progress had been made here I got a bit more involved (through Hourly Consultation). I, of course, went to Stone House Creative (with fingers crossed) that Lauren could take on the wedding and she was available! She did a wonderful job bringing together the richness of the wedding’s colours and accenting Zainab’s dress perfectly.

Zainab flew home and went on a bit of a buying trip with her family. It was so wonderful getting to see what she picked out and to see all her family in so many beautiful colours.

See, don’t they look lovely?

The ceremony was led by family and was a beautiful blend of traditions, music, and clearly a lot of love through these traditions. It was a mix of English and Punjab so admittedly we weren’t too sure a lot of the time what was happening but it was so special to get to be there and be a part of all the laughter and kindness.

The reception was an intimate evening full of eating, laughing and, speeches by everyone. You think I’m kidding but I’m not. The MC walked to each table and gave guests, family, friends a chance to share a few words, a story, or some advice.

This might sound like a lot – and a recipe for disaster – but it was the most loving and warm experience. You could almost tangibly feel the love in that room as people spoke.

A big thanks to all the vendors, family and, friends that helped bring together Zainab & Hassan’s wedding:
