I know, this isn’t really a wedding related blog post (unless you plan to do a heck of a lot of baking for your Christmas wedding? Which we totally support; yum!) but I thought considering that so many of you wonderful brides out there are gluten free and you’re busy planning your weddings, a little help around Christmas to find some goodies you can have too wouldn’t be a bad idea!

If you didn’t know I am gluten free myself so I totally understand the challenge of living this life. But I believe I can have my gluten free cake and eat it too! (with extra chocolate frosting please!)

I’m also CRAZY excited about Christmas (and I love eating) so the idea of not having delicious baking is very depressing (I know you gluten free people are feeling me here). So in an effort to spread a bit of Christmas cheer here are my top picks and a gluten free Christmas baking guide.

A Great Gluten Free Flour Blend

First start off with getting yourself some Cloud 9 GF Baking Mix. You can get it at Costco and order it online too. This mix is the best and can be the flour substitute to almost any recipe which is a total jump up for joy moment for us gluten free people.

Make your own flour?

If you want to try your hand at making your own flour blends then your must have is a Vitamix (with the dry grain container). I have myself one of these beauties and, no joke, take it traveling with me when I can (I’m also a big smoothie queen, but that’s another post).

A couple of key ingredients

A lot of gluten free recipes have xanthan gum and tapioca flour in the ingredient list so make sure you have these in your kitchen before getting started. You can find them at health food stores or in the natural food aisles of your grocery store.
