Sleeping Mask

Flights to honeymoon destinations can feel surprisingly long, especially after a jam packed wedding weekend. Take advantage of your lengthy flight by catching a nap or cuddling with your spouse. Add a couple of sleeping masks, like these ones to your carryon bag to ensure a comfortable sleep as you soar through the sky. (Tip: Download some shows to your phone or computer in case you get a flight without a TV or they have tech issues)

Jacket

When planning your adventurous honeymoon, it’s important to research what the expected weather conditions will be during your travel time. Unlike honeymooning in a tropical destination, where the weather is typically hot and sunny, destinations to the north can be a little more unpredictable. In places like Iceland and Alaska, the air can actually be quite damp and cool. We suggest packing a weather proof, light weight jacket to help protect you from mother nature. These can be easily folded up to fit in your suitcase and come in fashionable colours for both men and women. (Tip: Invest in a good jacket. You might pay $200 but it will be worth it and will last you years! The last thing you want on your honeymoon – or any trip – is to be cold and wet when you’re exploring. Trust us from experience – get a good quality jacket early on in your traveling years)

Scarf

A scarf on my honeymoon? Your honeymoon should be a time when you feel feminine and pretty and a scarf can help you do just that. They are so versatile, throw one around your neck before you head out on an excursion or brighten up an outfit for a night out on the town. Scarves come in so many prints and patterns and make the perfect accessory to jazz up any outfit. (Tip: Scarves make the perfect travel accessory too! A large blanket scarf can help keep you warm during cold airplane flights. If you’re planning a lot of hikes on your honeymoon we suggest getting your self a Buff or two!)

Sleep Wear

For the days on your honeymoon where you don’t feel like leaving your hotel room, cute sleep wear is a must! Wear something that makes you feel your prettiest. Remember to leave your flannel onesie at home, you won’t be needing that on your honeymoon! (Tip: Maybe you do need one warmer piece of sleepwear? Get something cute but cozy like this)

Shoes

Because you are the adventurous type, you won’t be spending your entire honeymoon indoors. If you plan on going hiking or on long walks, be sure to pack a pair of comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots. It’s important to make sure they’re broken in before setting out on your adventure, nothing like a good blister to slow you down. If you’re honeymooning in a place like Ireland, bringing along your wellies might be a good idea. Depending on the season, the weather can be quite damp giving you the perfect opportunity to show off your cute rain boots. (Tip: If you want a great pare of hiking boots explore the range from North Face. They break in well, are long lasting, and also they have some super cute options!)
