Kissing Game Ideas

Source

Planning out your reception schedule can be tricky enough without having to try and pick a kissing game. It’s an old tradition, people like to see it, so if you are going to do it here’s a list of kissing games ideas for you!

  • Answer a question about the couple Have the table/individual sing a love song – or a song with the word love in it
  • Demonstrate a kiss for us – you kiss someone and the wedding couple has to mimic your kiss
  • Guests have to sing a song that has the word love in it
  • Poet and didn’t know it Place a paper and pen at each table. Each table has to write a love poem about the Bride and Groom then come up to the podium to read it. Make sure that the poems are collected immediately after they have been read. Your MC or the wedding party member sitting closest to the podium could have that job. The poems would make a great keepsake for your wedding album or scrapbook! Variation #1: Have the audience or head table pick the best poem!
  • Give some marital advice Share a story about you and the couple
  • Name that tune – Have the DJ or MC play 30 seconds of a song (it could be some of the favourite songs of the couple) and go through enough songs to have one person from each table have to guess. If they get it right the couple kisses. If they get it wrong they have to kiss someone else
  • Movie Quotes (pre-recorded or read out loud) A popular quote from a famous movie is played or read to the table. The table has 30 seconds to decide the movie. Example: “I don’t know how to put this but I’m kind of a big deal. Really. People know me. Well, I’m very happy for you. I’m very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany”.  Answer:Anchorman:TheLegendOfRonBurgundy
  • Donate to the couple’s Honeymoon or House Fund to get a kiss
  • The 5/10 Game – MC has a guest say 5 things in a category in 10 seconds or less. Examples: 5 Canadian NHL teams, 5 Elvis songs, 5 MLB Baseball Teams, 5 Canadian singers, 5 brands of soft drinks etc.
  • Hula Hoop Challenge – Guests have to successfully use a hula hoop to get you to kiss. To make it more interested set different types of kisses to different ways of using the hula hoop
  • Mini golf putting hole – shoot the puck into the net Donate to charity
  • Spinning wheel or kissing dice – some sides have bride and groom kiss while other sides have tasks that you must complete before they kiss
  • Have cue cards and you have to act out a scene Pop a balloon and follow the instructions inside Tell a joke Have bells on the tables to ring
  • Scavenger hunt – a list of 8-10 items that once the table gathers everything on the list (ex. a pen, a iphone, a match, a q-tip etc) they bring it up to the front
  • Trivia pursuit – answer a question in your choice of category
  • Lego – have lego blocks on the table and you have to build with the pieces – come up and share what you made.
  • Have to make an animal sound Clinking of the glasses (although most venues don’t allow this)
  • Bride & Groom Trivia – Mc has questions and you have to get the answer right (about the couple) to get them to kiss
  • Give the DJ a list of songs and you have to solo/couple/group dance for 5-30 seconds
