How long have you been a Wedding and Event Planner?
Based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Amanda Douglas Events was founded in 2012 to provide distinct and memorable wedding and event planning services with a personalized touch. Amanda herself has been coordinating and planning weddings and events since 2005.
What sets you apart from other Wedding and Event Planners?
At Amanda Douglas Events we aim to be the most experienced, educated, caring, and organized as we possibly can be for each of our clients, and met each of their specific needs. It really comes down to our personality. We love our clients and believe you should truly connect with your wedding or event planner!
What training do you have in wedding and event planning?
Amanda is a certified wedding planner through the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada (WPIC) and also holds her Event Design certification through the Wedding and Event Institute (WEI). Our team members are also certified through the WPIC.
How many weddings/events does Amanda Douglas Events plan or coordinate a year?
On average, we take on 30-35 weddings and events a year.
Is Amanda Douglas Events just a one-woman show?
Amanda has a wonderful team who are brilliant at coordinating weddings and events. This means that on your special day, you’ll be well taken care of.
Do you ever book more than one wedding or event the same day?
On occasion we will book two events on the same day. But don’t worry! Our staff give all their energy and heart to each and every event they work.
Are you able to travel for my wedding?
Yes! We love traveling, so it’s a great combination of two of our favorite things! We specialize in planning events at unique venues and love the logistical challenge of creating an incredible wedding from nothing. We particularly love working in nature. If you’re planning a wedding at the lake, a wedding in Kenora, or at an out-of-town property, then we’re up for the challenge.
